The remote for Sky, remote for the Sky plus box and Sky HD remote will control the volume on nearly all TVs, have you entered the code for your brand of TV?  If not you can find a full list of Sky Remote Codes in the support section at TheDigiboxShop.com.

Hi just bought a brand new sky remote from Db Digibox everything works great on the remote except volume control doesnt work. On  db's website it stated volume control works on the remote but it doesnt. Has anyone any ideas. Am I surposed to do something to the remote to link it to skybox. Or is the item faulty. I'm afraid the only way you can use a Sky box is through a dish, if you have an aerial you can use a Freeview box but Sky and Freesat require a dish.

To be honest I could do with a little more info....
 
TV has a message saying No Signal. Some TVs will display a No Signal message when the AV equipment is turned off or not connected. Is it this or do you know for sure the message is from the box itself?
 
Is it the box?  What box do you have?
 
Is it the aerial?  You mention aerial, does this mean you are using a Freeview box or did you mean dish?
 
Once I have this I may be able to help.

Whilst the Sky plus remote and HD remote have the same buttons and look similar there is a slight difference with regards to what they can operate.
 
The Sky plus remote ccontrol will operate the standard Sky Plus box and the Sky HD box, but the Sky HD controller will only operate the HD box.  You can enter a code in to the HD remote so that it will operate the standard Sky Plus but to be honest unless you like the slightly more shiny HD version you may as well purchase the correct remote for your box.

Asking AVSpy.com an Audio Visual related question is quick and easy.  All you need to do is register, click on the "Questions & Answers" category on the home page, then click on the "Ask a Question" button, give the question you're asking a subject and enter the details of your question in the "Message" box, finally click "Post New Question".
